the defender story

Hello everyone! I have been a DC local for 8 years and I have gotten to know this city very well. I can truly say that I have been a witness to the change here. During this tenure I have been a server, a chef, and bartender. All of which exposed me to a wonderful industry. At the same time, I realized that it was not my calling.

I have always loved cars ever since I started to play with matchbox cars as a little one and now I maintain my vehicle as if it were a child of mine. Anyone can understand the joy that a personal car can bring you. At this point, I would definitely call myself an enthusiast. So I think it was a natural course for me to decide that I wanted a business where I could exercise my skills, but also help people. And thus “Defender Roadside Assistance” was born.

There are two things that I had in mind before starting the business. First, I wanted to run this business ethically so I also wanted to create equity through affordability and that is why I have a low-income discount. Second, I want to give back to the community. 3% of all profits will be donated to a local DC charity each quarter. We are a local small business and I hope to help serve the DC communities and make many friends along the way!
